Dr. Fenter Speaker for Lunch and Learn

Dr. Paula Click Fenter, Associate Professor of Physical Therapy, is the featured speaker for the August 27th Wellness Lunch and Learn program sponsored by the LSUHS Foundation.  Dr. Fenter will speak on the topic of "Fall Prevention-Take Steps to Reduce Your Risk."  The program is scheduled for 11:30 - 1:00 and will be held at Ernest's Orleans Restaurant, 1601 Spring St. South.  Cost for the program, which includes lunch, is $15.  Anyone interested can contact the Foundation for more information or to make reservations at 675-5002.

According to the American Academy of Family Physicians, falls are the leading cause of injury-related visits to Emergency Departments in the United States and the most common source of accidental death in persons over the age of 65.  Falls are caused by a variety of factors, many of which can be prevented.
