CM-13 Use of Voice Mail in the LSU Health Sciences Center

This is official affirmation of the policy of the LSU Health Sciences Center that voice mail/recorders are not to be used by University LSU Health Sciences Center employees during working hours. I am very much aware that there may be an emergent need to use this device, but I think it must be contained within that very narrow margin of emergent! More than any other profession we are here to serve the people and the best way to do that is to see that the human experience is shared by talking to another human being.

I would appreciate each of you passing this on to your respective department heads and posting this notification within appropriate areas within your respective schools. If there are any further comments regarding this matter please call me at your convenience.
